I discovered ambiences on YouTube in 2022, using rain sounds, fireplaces and dark woods scenes to help me get a good night’s sleep. I’d also listen to jazz channels while cooking, hosting guests, getting dressed for work or doing chores. Editing my plane spotting videos, in tandem with a photo my friend Marcus sent to me while waiting on a flight, I got the idea to make my own ambient videos.

“Vibes” consists of 4-hour-long video loops from my travels, including airline cabins, nature scenery and eventually cityscapes, all intended as background noise, ASMR or sleep inducers.
